Heading into the northernmost parts of Fairfield County, Danbury sits along interstate highway 84 as a solidly prosperous and pleasant community. New residential construction is an ongoing enterprise in an effort to accommodate the growing population. Danbury's educational needs are fulfilled by numerous private secular and parochial schools. High schools offer vocational and technical training programs. Plus, the town offers one of the best special pre-school programs for handicapped children in the state.
